Morra Operating Under Covid

Additional Terms and Conditions for Covid-19

Information for Hirers (from 3rd December 2021)

Under the Government’s Covid Protection Framework (traffic lights), the Morra Hall is allowed to switch between operating under vaccinated and unvaccinated settings. However, there must be a clear process in place, such as:

  • Well-ventilated rooms
  • High-touch surfaces cleaned between groups
  • No mixing of groups between Hall and Meeting Room
  • No back-to-back bookings
  • If My Vaccine Pass will be used (or is required to be used), settings must be made clear to all involved (staff and attendees) and signage displayed

Each Hirer is responsible for adhering to the most recent Government’s Covid Protection Framework (traffic lights).

At the time of booking, each Hirer will specify the type of activity and whether or not they will be utilising My Vaccine Pass, if permitted, as laid out in the Government’s Framework, which can be found here:

Detailed Framework Table (PDF)

All Hirers and attendees will need to comply with the following responsibilities:

Capacity Limits

Hirers are responsible for following capacity limits, specified in the framework.

Record Keeping

All visitors to our facilities are required at all traffic light levels to scan in using the NZ Covid Tracer app.

Hirers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring every attendee scans/signs in
  • If attendees do not have a mobile phone to do this, you will need to record their name and contact details manually (sign-in sheets available from Morra)
  • If you choose to have a manual sign in sheet you must send this through to after your event (a photo is fine)

Vaccine Passes

Hirers requiring My Vaccine Pass for their booking must:

  • Clearly advertise and display signage to indicate that My Vaccine Pass is required (available from Morra)
  • Check the My Vaccine Pass for every eligible person before they enter the premises – this includes both staff and attendees

You cannot operate a space with My Vaccine Pass and allow people into the space without their passport.

Face Coverings (Masks)

Wearing face coverings is one way you can help to prevent community spread.

  • Please follow the Framework guidelines for wearing a face covering.
  • It is required now by that proper masks be worn. All masks must be attached to the head by loops around the ears or head. This means no scarves, bandannas, or jerseys pulled up over the face.

Cleaning and Hygiene

Anyone who is sick should not enter the venue and stay at home.

  • All surfaces that have been used (including door handles, tables, chairs, etc) must be wiped down after use.
  • A high standard of hygiene must be maintained – hand sanitise regularly, cough/sneeze into your elbow, and wash your hands.
  • Sanitisers and wipes will be available for use, however, feel free to bring along your own supply to use as well.

Please keep windows and doors open where possible, to allow for greater ventilation, and ensure to close them again before you leave.

Further Important Information

  • Morra Hall Committee reserves the right to decline a booking if these guidelines are not followed.
