Christmas Greetings Waiheke!

MORRA HALL wishes our little community – all our island neighbours, users and wider Waiheke a happy happy holiday season! We hope to see you at one of our events soon.

After a couple of difficult years for our community due to COVID disruption to activity, MORRA is back and well underway with our current regular events: Yoga, Mindfulness, Table-tennis, 65+ gym, Drama, Parkinson’s exercise, French club, Circle of Friends, Bridge, Capoeira, and Comedy.

As well as larger one off events happening next year… to find out more about what’s happening at the hall on a regular basis – check out the calendar – it’s busy!

The community hall is run by a group of active members, organised as an Incorporated Society.

MORRA is the largest community hall on our island and deserves to be maintained for our future generations. We’re looking for more people to help us out – you don’t have to be actively involved in the hall, but it’s a bonus if you are.

If you’d like to find out more or get involved, get in touch with us: email on info@morrahall.co.nz or phone 027 319 1875.

The MORRA HALL and Meeting Repainted and Renovated

The exciting news is that the hall has been undergoing a little renovation! With the support of a local board grant (thank you Auckland Council), and local painter Lance Broughton, we have been painting part of the outside of the hall, moving away from the faded red to dark green, and giving the hall a much-needed makeover. It’s looking so much better!

In addition, committee members Dave Mountford, Pam Adams (thank you so much Dave and Pam!) and others have also been busy re-decorating the back Meeting Room and it is certainly looking and feeling much brighter and clearer. All the committee members give of their own time to help make the hall a better place for community use.

Here are a couple of photos to show off our new look …
